We have long ago had decided to spend Christmas in Berlin. We had planned to then take a short trip around Germany, but we had been canceled yet.
The atmosphere was clouded by the severe winter weather, but we still decided on 23 December leave. Reik had a preliminary but still buy winter tires because we had only dubbdäck and these are forbidden in Germany.

23.12. Are we then to Germany. Stop for a night in Helsingborg. There we were then about to clock at 19:00. If you have not noticed, it was at 23.12. not very comfortable in Sweden. But in the end it went.
We stayed for one night at the Scandic Hotel Helsingborg Nord. Breakfast at 24.12. was not a problem, it was 7:30 clock. Shortly after 8:00 clock then things and dog were transported back into the car and off we went to the Ferry Helsingborg - Elsinore. The drove around 15 minutes and was super empty.
Over there we were happy to have arrived via the good road conditions, but that should change quickly. Denmark was pure disaster. Highways made at all, bad. But even as we were slowly but surely.
arrived at the ferry, we were able to practically up. The trip to Puttgarden was good and the staff on board as usual "friendly". Well, who's working already like on 24.12 ..
The roads in Germany were ok, so we arrived around 17:00 clock finally my goal in Berlin Spandau. Reik then went on to Bernau.
25/12. but then we saw again, for brunch with his family. This time it was an Arab brunch, which was really delicious. The next days were spent with his family and everyone at 29.12. clock at 8:00 we headed back to the direction of Sweden.
time we drove over Rostock - Gedser. Also very nice. Exciting was that ice was on the Baltic Sea. But the boat still went without problems.
The roads in Sweden were free and we were finally at home By 22:00 clock.
The silly on a visit to Germany is that it is sometimes plagued by homesickness then. But this may be because the time was short, but intense. Or simply because Christmas was. This time much harder but I definitely to go home. Now I'm glad we are here again.
